David Dabydeen, PhD
Dr. David Dabydeen is Professor Emeritus of Literary Studies at the University of Warwick in Coventry, United Kingdom. He has served as a member of UNESCO’s Executive Board and is the author of seven novels, three collections of poetry and several works of non-fiction and criticism. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Dr. Dabybeen was awarded his PhD in 18th-Century Literature and Art at University College, London in 1982. In 2010, Dr. Dabydeen served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Guyana in China.
