Marcus Dumas, PhD, MPH, CHES
Dr. Marcus Dumas is an Instructor at the University of Georgia’s College of Public Health. He received a Ph.D. in Health Promotion & Behavior from the University of Georgia College of Public Health in 2021 and an MPH in Health Promotion & Health Education from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2009, and a BA in Sociology from Morehouse College in 2005.
His current research interest is in sexual health education. As a visionary leader, health educator, and youth development professional with more than a decade of outreach experience,
Dr. Dumas is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities. His passion lies in promoting healthy lifestyles and addressing health disparities, focusing on adolescent health, minority health, urban health, sexual health, and health equity. He has a proven track record of creating and delivering effective health education programming, conducting community health needs assessments, and teaching health education courses.
